Description
Not the flavour of the month it would seem lately - but a Space picture - For Vision Afar when I overhaul it."Multiple patrol craft escort a transport towards an isolated, solar sailed outpost deep within a burgeoning nebula"
As usual, Photoshop CS and a Wacom Tablet.
Original res 5000x3000 - 15-16 hours.
Larger version linked below (best to look at it in that res…)

Do you use layers alot with these? Or do you go in and noodle all the clean edges? Just looks so nice and crisp.

I don't tend to use many layers really - this one had for the most part just two; one for the painting and one for a perspective layer on to (for the clouds etc).
I did use a new layer for the structure and the craft - but I was not sure about whether I wanted them at first.

wow.. thats amazing! i love the way you did those massive lights
without them being overwhelming and consuming to the eye.
Great stuff! I agree with Phil... you should offer posters of your work.

I working on that right now.

I'm not usually a fan of space-y artwork, but this really hits the spot.
