Oww.... Have not put anything online as the new VA site has eaten my lunch and and my current art commitments are not post-able, as yet...

So, here is a concept image for a product I have been working on. Like "The Room" this is a set up piece, demonstrating light, shadow and atmosphere - along with the textural look for modelling artists.

This piece and others like it can be seen at my new Vision Afar site.

I ADORE your work - I recognised your style immediately from the thumbnail. This of course is wildly realistic - fabulous rendering of stone and light. There is one niggle which I have; see those breaks in the roof? They aren't entirely believable because they aren't fully soaked with bright light.; I have trouble distunguishing between them as 'broken bits' rather than stray focused beams of light just hitting the roof. Brighter!!!

Nonetheless, I would never give you below a +9

Beatiful work...but...the hole on top ofe "the room" is litte strage....I spend a lot of time trying to understand.."what this white things? represents the light? or what?"...of course, now I understand...but a observation, mabe you couldnÂ´t capt this point of view^^.

welll...all is very beatiful and convincent(aaah..one more thing..de light on the ground, well, is litte bigest no?...).

Perfect, almost like real. I saw on your VA page some pictures with chance to see "wip". Lines in image at first steps you use only for imagination of prespection ?
By the way details of town on Nimbus are incredible!

I'm really glad to see you're still doing dark concepts like this- I LOVED your 'The Room' picture, and I love this one just as much. Beautiful beeeaaaauuuuuutiful work. I love the perspective, the colours, the lighting, and the grainy effect (makes everything a little more grungy and dark). I can see a less-than-perfect hero meeting with the bad guy here- some threats, maybe? Wonderful. ^_^

Like the other members mentioned, I think the holes in the ceiling could be improved a little. Maybe a halo of bright white light following the rim of the cracks, if you know what I mean. Another point- is the light cast through the holes supposed to be going in the same direction as the light shining through the window? I know next to nothing about lighting, so feel free to correct me. On second though, this point is so incredibly minor it's ridiculous. Just ignore the little yabbering girl....

I certainly hope you keep it up, Gary! Once again you've created an excellent piece that will leave heaps of members in awe. ^_^ And I just can't help but to wonder about the stains on the left wall and floor. Blood? I just love a picture with a story.

When i first looked at the thumbnail, i was convinced that it was a 3d work modeled in some program but no, it is -painted-... =O.O= Magnificent work i must say and i really, really like the mood, the atmosphere is has. Great work!

It would have been cool to see some kind of bird at the top, like a dove or pidgen sittin in the rafters or flying to land on a rafter. It seem empty but not delapadated which is what I feel when I look at it. +7
